1.聽到Michael Jackson的死訊時， 我正在餵甯甯吃飯。甯甯吃飯時總會掉東掉西，掉飯粒掉配菜，有時還會伸出她的魔手搶湯匙翻飯晚，所以儘管耳邊聽到Michael 的死訊，我沒辦法分心盯著螢幕看，那怕只是那幾秒。所以我也來不及感傷，只有「啊~他死了呀」的反應，這種驚訝程度，和得知對街老王去世差不多。晚上再次看到這則新聞，說感傷？也倒不至於，畢竟他也好久一段時間沒出來了，甚至連他即將復出開演唱會的消息，媒體在他死前也懶得大肆報導，就算報了，我想現在的孩子也沒多少人聽過Michael Jackson這號人物了。對小朋友而言，他是歷史，是過氣歌手，但對我們而言，他是證明我們曾經年輕的重要人證。他曾和王永慶一樣，是我們那一代的指標人物，也是我們的神，只是這個證人，好久沒他的消息了，讓人很難再對一個失聯的老友有多深厚感情。但剛聽到雪莉網誌上的這首"Heal the world"，種種回憶頓時湧上心頭。這塊<<Dangerous>>是我第一張購買的英文專輯，第一張CD(那時還是卡帶比較盛行)，第一個崇拜的外國藝人。那年我已學到的英文單字屈指可數，卻因為一首Heal the world讓我用英文字典翻遍整張專輯；那年第四台還不普及，少數幾戶有錢人家的屋頂才會架設小耳朵的時代；那年，我12歲。

2.本來今天晚上要續寫昨天未完成的"查令十字路84號"(84.Charing Cross Road)讀後感，但一聽到這首歌勾起許多回憶後就欲罷不能，一連聽了好幾首<<Dangerous>>，<<History>>這兩張專輯裡的好歌，以及幾首他早期開唱我卻來不及參與的Hit songs。於是今晚的黃金三小時，就被我這樣呼嚨過去了，看來"查令十字路84號"(84.Charing Cross Road)讀後感要等下星期，今天就拿這首Heal the world當回家功課吧！

3.星期五一大早要去台中玩直到星期六晚回來，因此明天(星期四)晚上就不能當夜貓子，所以【菜英文】要停工三天。
